I’m so excited to introduce all of you to Sheri Gundlach- the newest addition to the Fiscal Fitness team! As you know, Crystal accepted a position at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and we’re incredibly happy for her. Sheri will be taking over the roll of office manager and my right hand woman! I am so lucky to have her on board to help me better take care of all of you! I have known Sheri for years and have no doubt you’ll all love her just as much as I do!
I asked Sheri to answer a few questions so we can all get to know her better.
Where are you from? Mason, Wisconsin Moved to AZ in 2009. Just celebrated 5 years of sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine
Tell us about your family: Husband Cary, married almost 17 years, been dating for 22 years:), 3 sons, Ashton 14, Camden 10, Keaton 6. We love our Packers, and most of our “family time” is centered around our kids sports.
Who’s been an inspiration to you in your life? My paternal grandma has always been an inspiration. Leading a large family with grace and fairness is tough, but she makes it look easy. She is so funny, smart and at age 93 she still lives on her own and cooks, bakes and doesn’t let my Aunties boss her around!
What is the best compliment you ever got? Men and women of all ages really like my hair! That still amazes me and make me smile!!
What do you like to do for fun? What do you do in your spare time? Spare time? What is that? I do like to read, work out, and have “coffee” with friends. I do a lot of volunteering with my kids sports, I’m there, I might as well help out!.
If you had an extra $100, what would you buy? In my dream world, I would get a pedi or buy a new outfit, but it never fails, it would go toward groceries or eating out:) I really don’t know how to spend money just on myself!
Do you and your husband have a financial goal you’re working toward? If so, what is it? We have several goals, but really focused this year on our emergency fund. Which we have already had one emergency, so we are glad we had it completely funded. We will replenish that, then work toward some home improvements.
How do you know Kelsa? I’ve known Kelsa a little over 2 years. That is the same amount of time we’ve had a Fiscal Fitness budget! It really empowered us, learning to control our money instead of vice versa.
What’s your favorite movie? So many come to mind, but currently Pitch Perfect.
What’s been your favorite vacation you’ve gone on so far? What’s your dream vacation spot? I earned a trip for 2 to Hawaii, through a Direct Selling company back in 2002, that was fantastic, but we didn’t have a lot of extra money for all the touristy things, so we’d really like to go back there.
What’s your favorite go-to food splurge? Orient Sushi! We can feed a family of five for $40 bucks. Mmmmmm so good!
What do you consider the most valuable thing you own? My wedding ring! Not for it’s value, but for the bond and the commitment we made to each other in front of God, our families and now the “men” we are raising!
What is your favorite quote? “Smile, it makes people wonder what you’ve been up to!”
What is your best personal characteristic? I am a hard worker and a close second…I think I’m funny!
What is your biggest pet peeve? I have two: People who do not pick up after their dogs, especially in MY greenbelt where MY kids play! AND People who don’t put their shopping carts in the cart rack! Both are due to extreme LAZINESS
Which household chore do you dislike the most? Mopping the floors, because really everyone just walks on them right away or drops food on it. It’s a vicious cylcle!
How do you reward yourself? I am breaking the food reward cycle and trying the “friend”time, pedi’s, a good book, or a new clothing item.
What are you thankful for? I am thankful for our “adopted” family and friends here in AZ, who have made our transition so much easier and a lot less lonely.
What are you allergic to? Nothing!!
- Do you have any phobias? I am afraid to answer that! hee hee
