You probably work as hard as I do, and I know every once in a while my husband and I like to go out to eat, as sort of a mini celebration for conquering our weekly goals. Well, in order to take the stress out of dining out, use cash! When you use cash, you set yourselves on a budget and don’t find yourselves ordering things that you don’t need. That $10 glass of wine that you want to pair with your dinner, perhaps you will rethink that when you only have a certain amount of cash to spend. Won’t the happy hour drink special taste just as good? This simple and easy tip could save you a ton of money that you otherwise wouldn’t realize was being spent. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

As a result of using cash I am more conscious of what I buy and spend. I just told the rep at my bank, “You know I don’t use a debit card anymore. Did you know Americans spend 18-22% more when they use debit or credit vs. cash?” She gave me a knowing smile and I was on my way.
